Phillips Financial Services was founded by our CEO Gerry Phillips in 1988 as Phillips Insurance Brokers and became a highly successful business by providing superior insurance and risk management advice and developing close relationships with their customers.
This approach continues today with our emphasis on the quality of our team of advisors, and dedication to efficient claim processing.
While insurance and risk management will always be a core of our business, as far back as 10 years ago the understanding we developed of our clients businesses meant many were asking us for wider financial advice. They needed holistic advice to enable them to coordinate all parts of their financial activity and we grew quite naturally into providing this. This is now one of the foundations of our business and has driven the recruitment of a team of top financial specialists led by Kevin Moore.
The success of our insurance partners the Austbroker Network has paralleled our own. The group presently has 34 separate insurance broking and financial planning businesses across Australia transacting more than $700 million of insurance premiums every year. The group is committed to its business partners such as ourselves and continues to grow through acquisition and the organic growth of each business.
Under Gerry's guidance Phillips Financial Services is now in a position where we have established a position of strength in the insurance market, and high recognition in the business and local community. That said we never stand still and are constantly pursuing new ways to help you with your financial and risk management needs.
Over the last few years our ability to offer our clients the best has been further strengthened by the establishment of a highly experienced group of working directors including David Keys and Ken Phillips who continue our approach of close relationships and succeeding as a consequence of our clients success.
